It is increasingly understood that the impact of our daily food choices is far reaching – affecting our physiological, mental and emotional health. However, for years I did not make the connection between what I ate and how I felt in body, mind and spirit. I was working in fashion – an industry far more concerned with how you look on the outside than what you put into your body.
My relationship with food and the way I viewed nutrition changed in my mid-twenties when I trained as a yoga teacher in Hawaii for three months. The food and drink I consumed was incredibly important to get through the tough demands of the physical training.
On returning to London, via New York, I realised I needed to learn how to nourish my body effectively, to provide it with all the nutrients it wanted to do the amazing things we ask of ourselves on a daily basis. I taught myself how to cook and create healthy meals and snacks for my friends and family (especially my two gorgeous primary school-age children!) as well as myself. It is my mission to show you how good foods can help you, too.
I also freelance at a leading UK-based functional medicine clinic and a clinic specialising in digestive issues.
In my privae cinic I support clients with stress, fatigue and digestive complaints amongst other complex health conditions.
